Responsible for audit engagements in the field and supervising the staff assigned to these engagements usually overseeing more than one job at a time. The work included manpower budgeting, reviewing engagement programs and work paper budgeting, reviewing engagement programs and work paper requirements with respect to scope and other professional requirements. In charge of in-depth studies of tax related engagements because of my background in income taxes. The job assignments specialized in the following areas: hotels and hospitality, casinos, construction, developers, wholesale and retail, nonprofit organizations such as health and diagnostic treatment centers.
Responsibilities within the firm include, participate in the planning of the audit; approve planned scope of the audit; review and discuss the progress of the audit and any significant issues relating to it with the manager; participate in discussions with the client concerning any significant issues relating to accounting, auditing, financial statements, notes and the auditors’ report. Participate in the planning and execution of consulting engagements such as management advisory, including accounting and administrative control structure evaluation, design and implementation.
